Great Options

Set rules or goals - “First homework, then play time.”

Redirect - “Let’s do 10 minutes of homework, then 10 jumping jacks.”

Play, sports, martial arts

Give praise - “You built that Lego set! You can do amazing things when you put your mind to it.”

Role play - “Pretend that I am your teacher and I ask you a question. Can you raise your hand and wait for me to call your name?”
